Ever wonder where the idea of high-capacity magazines got started? I've got an FN Browning Hi-Power semi-automatic pistol made in Herstal, Belgium. It has an exposed hammer and no grip safety, while it does have a magazine safety. The barrel is about four-and-a-half inches long. It has a fixed rear site and a very small blade front. The slide locks back after the last shot. FN introduced the high power in 1935 with a single-action design and chambered for the 9mm Luger Cartridge. It's still in production today, but lots and lots of changes have been made along the way. For a demonstration of how it operates, be sure to watch the video above.
