Firearm safety is your responsibility. Let's take a look at some basic firearm safety rules:
When carrying a firearm in the field, follow the first rule of firearm safety: keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. When in the field be aware of other hunters, guides, and dogs. Know who's in front of you, behind you, to your left, and to your right. You're responsible for your own safety and the safety of those around you. Adjust the way you're carrying your gun. As your position or the position of others changes.
Don't ever forget the basic firearm safety rules:
- Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction
- Keep your finger off the trigger
- Put your gun on safe
Remember firearm safety is your responsibility.
