Derringers were popular handguns of the old west, partly because of their concealability. I've got a Remington Model 95 Derringer made in Ilion, New York. This gun has an exposed checkered hammer and a wide smooth trigger. There are two barrels, each 3 inches in length. The grips are a checkered hard rubber. It has a notch rear sight and a blade front. The first cocking notch is the safety. Remington made this model from 1866 to 1936 with over 150,000 produced and multiple design changes. All were chambered for the 41 rimfire. For a demonstration of how it loads, be sure to check out the video above.
