Use the Correct Ammunition in Your Firearm

Firearm safety is your responsibility and it's always important to use the correct cartridges in your gun.

3. Verify the caliber stamping on the cartridge itself:

A customized Springfield might not have a caliber stamping. Never rely on word of mouth, what someone thinks it is or should be. If there's ever any doubt, always have your gun checked by a qualified gunsmith. A gunsmith can make a casting of the chamber, then measure it carefully to determine the caliber.

Then you will know you have the correct ammunition. Remember, firearm safety is your responsibility.
