Winchester Model 1893 Pump Action Shotgun

When you hear the rack cycle of a pump shotgun, it means "don't move." I've got a Winchester Model 1893 pump-action shotgun made in New Haven, Connecticut. It's an exposed hammer gun, just like the Model 1897. It has a smooth trigger and a ball-type pistol grip with the buttplate made of steel. This gun has a 30-inch barrel. The magazine holds five rounds of 12-gauge ammo. Winchester made these guns for only four years, from 1893 to 1897, with total production of 31,000, so they're quite scarce today. They're made with the solid frame design, which means the barrel is not easily removable. The takedown feature would come later in the Winchester Model 1897.
