If you are an experienced angler, you probably know what a Texas Rig is--but if you are new to fishing, or you're trying to learn more about fishing, that's perfectly alright. I'll show you what a Texas Rig is. A Texas Rig is basically Texas rigging a soft plastic on a worm hook. If done a certain way, it can be "weedless" - or, in other words, perfect for fishing around weeds, grass, reeds, cane, around boat docks because your hook point is never exposed.
There are some basic parts to a Texas Rig:
- A hook
- A soft plastic bait
- A weight
- Bobber stopper (optional)
It's easier for us both if I show you rather than tell you, so watch the video above to see how it's put together!
