"One of our missions at MidwayUSA is to continuously improve," said Larry Potterfield, founder and president of MidwayUSA. "Our eBusiness team researched internet best practices and made significant improvements that will help our customers find the products they want faster and feel more secure while they shop with us."
Customers will notice a new focus on the website. At the heart of the page is an eye-catching graphic that features special promotions and new features for the week. By utilizing animation, one of the biggest trends in e-commerce, MidwayUSA is able to keep these images fresh and add something new each week. In addition, the navigation bar at the top of the page now contains more categories to assist customers with their browsing. To make searching even easier, a "Popular Searches" block was added to the home page. This block contains key words and phrases related to MidwayUSA's products that customers use most often when searching the Internet for supplies.
But the improvements do not stop there; to accompany these new features MidwayUSA re-vamped some of the classic features of the website. Product demonstrations and resource tools are now together in one location, aptly named the Knowledge Center. Here the customer will find links to resources such as How-To Videos, the GunTec Dictionary and the Gunsmith Locator.
Now it's easier than ever for the customer to search faster, find help in a matter of mouse-clicks and save money with MidwayUSA's weekly specials and promotions. "The main functions of the new home page are to be the site's navigation center, a showcase for special offers and a panel for ordering and product services," commented Dana Pitre, MidwayUSA's eBusiness Analyst.
The exciting changes taking place on the home page will also be carried out to the rest of the website on a category basis during the remainder of 2007. Visit often and take advantage of this fast, friendly and secure shopping experience.
