The title is for life and is conferred by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
“As a Kentucky Colonel, it was truly an honor and a privilege to nominate Larry and Brenda Potterfield to be commissioned as Kentucky Colonels,” said Rick Leach, Co-President Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation and National Director Scholastic Action Shooting Program. “I could not think of anyone more deserving of the highest title of honor bestowed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and I was happy that Governor Beshear agreed. Their support of Boy Scouts, schools and youth shooting sports makes our country a better place.”
The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels was formed to establish a society and great non-political brotherhood for the advancement of Kentucky and Kentuckians.
