MidwayUSA Contributes over $160,000 to Friends of NRA by MidwayUSA
Columbia, MO -

MidwayUSA, a catalog and Internet retailer offering "Just About Everything"® for Shooting, Reloading and Gunsmithing, announced today the contribution of over $160,000 to Friends of NRA.  This contribution, in the form of merchandise, will be used at all 2006 Friends of NRA events.  This edition to the merchandise package will be featured at over 1,000 events across the country.

"MidwayUSA is committed to supporting the shooting sports industry and the National Rifle Association," said Larry Potterfield, president of MidwayUSA.  "Our customers consistently voice their support for the NRA and MidwayUSA believes in the mission of the NRA's foundation and its grassroots fundraising vehicle, Friends of NRA.  This gift is a continuation of our support."
According to Kyle Weaver, NRA's national manager for Friends of NRA, this is just the latest contribution from MidwayUSA.  "This is the fourth major merchandise donation in the last four years," said Weaver.  "Friends of NRA has a long partnership with MidwayUSA - this gift of 1,000 Caldwell Rock BR's is an extension of this partnership."  Weaver continued, "The first committee for Friends of NRA was established in Columbia, Missouri, in 1992 by Larry Potterfield.  It paved the way for Friends of NRA to hold over 8,000 events, raise over $90 million, and reach over 1.7 million attendees by the end of this year.  Friends of NRA and The NRA Foundation are grateful for the generous support of MidwayUSA and the Potterfield family."

The Caldwell Rock BR is a competition shooting rest featuring coarse and fine elevation adjustments and finger-tip windage adjustment.  With a cradle supported on ball bearings and a weight of 15-1/2 pounds, the Rock BR provides the stability to shoot the tightest groups possible.  Each local Friends of NRA chapter will receive one Caldwell Rock BR included in their fundraising merchandise package.
