MidwayUSA Makes History with Shooting Gallery
by MidwayUSAColumbia, MO - MidwayUSA, a catalog and Internet retailer offering JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING® for Shooting, Reloading, Gunsmithing and Hunting, recently hosted Michael Bane and crew from the Shooting Gallery TV show as they filmed segments for the 2012 season in front of a studio audience.
On November 9th and 10th, MidwayUSA made company history when they hosted over 150 Customers who were invited to take part of a studio audience for the 2012 season of Shooting Gallery. Shooting Gallery, only on Outdoor Channel, covers the hottest topics in the shooting sports industry from the modern 1911,
3-Gun Matches, Close Quarter Tactics, to Top Women Shooters, Cowboy Action guns and most recently, the Zombie Apocalypse. MidwayUSA is a sponsor of Shooting Gallery and MidwayUSA's vignettes, featuring Larry Potterfield, appear on the show.
"We're always excited when Michael and his crew come to visit MidwayUSA, and we're even more excited that some of our Customers were able to join in on the fun," says Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA. "A great show needs a great host, and Michael is one of the best hosts in outdoor television. His idea to bring our Customers onto his show is one of the reasons why he has been so successful over these last eleven seasons."
The episodes filmed at MidwayUSA last week featured special guests Alan Gottleib from the Second Amendment Foundation, Sheriff Jim Wilson, Stephen Hunter (Author), Hamilton Bowen of Bowen Classic Arms and Joyce Wilson, Executive Director and Treasure of the IDPA. These episodes will begin airing in January 2012 on Outdoor Channel.
"To me, the great thing about working with Larry Potterfield and MidwayUSA is that anything is possible. When I first called Larry and said we'd like to film SHOOTING GALLERY in front of a live studio audience, Larry's response was, 'Okay, let's see how we can make this work,' and it did work - pretty spectacularly, if you ask me! But it worked because all the people at MidwayUSA got behind the idea and brought it kicking and screaming into the Real World. So to MidwayUSA and our four amazing audiences, thank you, from the bottom of my heart!"
