Potterfields Donate $100,000 to the Mule Deer Foundation by MidwayUSA
Columbia, MO -

Larry and Brenda Potterfield of MidwayUSA recently donated $100,000 to the Mule Deer Foundation to fund the MDF's M.U.L.E.Y youth shooting program.

The M.U.L.E.Y. (Mindful, Understanding, Legal and Ethical Youth) program introduces youths, ages 12 - 17, to shooting sports in a safe environment. Each M.U.L.E.Y. event is hosted by local Mule Deer Foundation chapters, in association with local wildlife agencies and other conservation groups. The Mule Deer Foundation has 11 events planned for 2011 and is expected to reach fifty thousand young shooters in the next five years.

"The continued generosity of Larry and Brenda Potterfield is astonishing. We need more people like the Potterfields to step forward and help get more of our youth involved in shooting, hunting, and conservation. This donation will help us raise money for the MDF M.U.L.E.Y program and for the Scholastic Shooting Trust." said Eric Tycksen, Chief Operating Officer of the Mule Deer Foundation.

Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, said, "Brenda and I believe in supporting youth programs that teach our next generation about shooting and shooting safety. We are excited to partner with the Mule Deer Foundation to continue our support for the M.U.L.E.Y. program, and we look forward to seeing more youth involved in the great outdoors."
