Columbia, MO -

Larry and Brenda Potterfield of MidwayUSA recently donated $250,000 to the Mule Deer Foundation to support the creation of the MDF's new M.U.L.E.Y. youth shooting program.

The M.U.L.E.Y. (Mindful, Understanding, Legal and Ethical Youth) program will introduce youths, ages 12 - 17, to shooting sports in a safe environment. Each M.U.L.E.Y. event will be hosted by local Mule Deer Foundation chapters, in association with local wildlife agencies and other conservation groups. So far, the Mule Deer Foundation has eleven events planned for 2011, and is expected to reach fifty thousand young shooters in the next five years.
