MidwayUSA Promotes Shawn Henninger to Director of Software Development - Customers

MidwayUSA’s Shawn Henninger was recently promoted to the position of Director of Software Development – Customers. Shawn began his career at MidwayUSA in 2008 as an Application Developer, shortly after earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Quincy University. Over the last fourteen years, Shawn has made significant contributions to several projects including the Nitro Express Shipping System, Order Taking services, front-end Merchandising applications and the MidwayUSA Website.

I’m excited to start this next phase of my career at MidwayUSA as the Director of Software Development.”
In his new position, Shawn will be charged with management of the Software Development - Customers team reporting directly to the Vice President of Information Systems (IS), Joel Felten. His primary duties will include integration and documentation of IS Application Management processes, and implementation of IS action plans. Some of Shawn’s other responsibilities will include assisting Joel with: strategic planning, capacity planning, forecasting, budgeting, integration with other departments, and leading Information Systems to support broader organizational goals.

With his skills he will easily do a great job as our new Director of Software Development,” said Joel Felten, Vice President of Information Systems. “I am very excited to have him in this new role for MidwayUSA as he focuses on all application development associated with our Customers.”
