Reliable and able to withstand huge loads, the Lockback mechanism is a distinctive feature of this knife. This folding knife, small enough to be placed in your pocket, was made to go head-to-head with fixed blade outdoor knives.
The Gekko knife is equally comfortable in both the right and left hand. The clip blade can be mounted in two different positions and the lock is easy to locate with either hand. A lanyard hole makes this knife more versatile not only in the field but in everyday use. This is both a practical addition and one that allows owners to express their personal style.
D2 is a semi-stainless tool steel that exhibits excellent characteristics as a blade steel. This air-hardened steel is more corrosion resistant than other high carbon steels due to its high chromium content and offers a good mix of toughness, wear resistance, and edge holding ability. Micarta handle material is consists of a film based mixture containing phenolic resins glued together with a variety of papers and fabrics. It has pleasant tactile properties. Micarta is durable and moisture resistant and also has dielectric properties.
