The design of the hinging system of the Ruger Mark IV pistol employs a rubber plug installed in a hole just behind the pivot point. This is the only tension in the hinging system. Various pistols have various amounts of play between the barrel/receiver and pistol grip frame. Once the rubber plug deteriorates, the play increases, which is detrimental to accuracy. The Majestic Arms Locking Block (pat. pending) solves this problem by use of an adjustable steel column, which removes all play from the hinging system. This creates a rock solid locking arrangement, thereby enhancing the accuracy of the pistol. The Majestic Arms Bank Vault Locking Block (pat. pending) is infinitely adjustable and will compensate for wear and tear for years to come.
