- Nubuck leather with waterproof GORE-TEX lining
- DuraPU inject midsole with SPS System technology
- Climate Control footbed
- Vibram Apptrail outsole
- Lowa Flex lacing
The benchmark for trekking fit and comfort. The upper is designed with LOWA Flex lacing which allows the laces to easily pull through the ball bearing lace loops that are set on free moving tabs, reducing overall pressure against the foot. Durably waterproof/breathable.
C4 Tongue, a Lowa exclusive, is anatomically-contoured for a natural flex that cradles the foot in comfort and promotes a faster break-in time. The four main features of the C4 tongue noticeable increases in walk comfort are:
- Asymmetrical padding (thicker towards the outside of the foot)
- Recessed ankle areas (inside higher than the outside)
- Flexible curved inset towards the inside of the foot
- Softer edging on the upper end
Climate Control System- This moisture management system keeps feet dry, protecting you against blisters and hot spots. A series of perforations or holes inside the boot's cuff lining allows air to enter the boot lining while the walking movement pumps heat and moisture back out through the holes. Moisture is pulled away from the foot, evaporating while you walk.
Lowa's Supination/Pronation Support (SPS) Technology, featured in their Classic boots, is key to providing support. By placing TPU inserts within the softer PU midsole mold, Lowa is able to control and often prevent over-pronation and supination which often occur during hiking, and which can contribute to fatigue and injury over long distances.
The Vibram AppTrial sole is a modern trekking boot tread with increased contact area, self cleaning tread for excellent grip, and pronounced front heel edge for good traction downhill.
