A workhorse of a boot and a cult favorite among hardcore backpackers and hunters, the Tibet GTX is super stable, making it ideal for carrying heavy loads over long distances. Thoughtfully designed features, such as the handy I-Lock lacing cam which allows you to separate the lace tension between the ankle and the top of the foot, will keep your feet comfortable over many miles of tough terrain. The lasted GORE-TEX lining provides durably waterproof/breathable protection against the elements. Handcrafted in Germany and resolable.
C4 Tongue, a Lowa exclusive, is anatomically-contoured for a natural flex that cradles the foot in comfort and promotes a faster break-in time. The four main features of the C4 tongue noticeable increases in walk comfort are:
- Asymmetrical padding (thicker towards the outside of the foot)
- Recessed ankle areas (inside higher than the outside)
- Flexible curved inset towards the inside of the foot
- Softer edging on the upper end
Climate Control System- This moisture management system keeps feet dry, protecting you against blisters and hot spots. A series of perforations or holes inside the boot's cuff lining allows air to enter the boot lining while the walking movement pumps heat and moisture back out through the holes. Moisture is pulled away from the foot, evaporating while you walk.
Lowa's Supination/Pronation Support Technology, featured in their Classic boots, is key to providing support. By placing TPU inserts within the softer PU midsole mold, Lowa is able to control and often prevent over-pronation and supination which often occur during hiking, and which can contribute to fatigue and injury over long distances.
Vibram Masai soles provide excellent grip on all surfaces thanks to the self-cleaning mountaineering tread. The Masai has an undercut heel front front for excellent grip and Climbing zone at the tip of the sole.
