The Strike Industries Latchless Charging Handle represents yet another step forward for the AR-15. The design is simple in execution while being robust and reliable. It offers forged 7075 construction with efficient side gas venting. This provides a solid and comfortable interface for the user. Reliable receiver lockup is achieved through a hidden spring mechanism. It uses the insertion slot in the upper receiver charging handle channel to provide a secure lockup. This channel features a natural radius that will not wear rapidly. This contrasts with the external 90-degree edge of the standard latch area of the upper receiver. The flat spring bearing surface is much larger than a steel ball bearing. This works to spread force and wear out over a larger area. This update provides increased service life and removes a traditional snag point. The durable aluminum construction provides a solid mounting point for the ISO Tabs. These tabs are an add-on component that increases surface area for those using large optics.
