Based on layering systems currently utilized by mountaineering professionals and designed by the U.S. Army, the GEN III Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) has proven to be a game-changer for the modern warfighter. Using proprietary materials and technologically advanced construction methods, ECWCS garments allow the wearer to comfortably operate and sustain a variety of operations in the most extreme conditions.
These GEN III Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS) Parkas feature a two-way center-front zipper opening with a protective wind flap, nylon reinforced elbows, two front zipper pockets, a rip stop nylon inner lining and an elastic cord in the bottom hem for adjustability. It is also constructed with a collar containing a collapsible insulated hood with drawstring that stows easily inside the collar. In addition, there are hook-and-loop fasteners to attach rank badges and name plates as well as elastic cuffs with hook-and-loop adjustment straps.
Grade 1: Excellent to New/Unissued – All Military Surplus ECWCS Gen III Parkas are US Government Issued products and are rated in excellent to new/un-issued condition. Jackets may be outside of original manufacturer's packaging but they will show minimal or no signs of wear.
Grade 2: Good to Very Good – Products may have been previously washed and light pilling may be present but they retain 100% of their original functionality. Jacket may contain light staining, but no holes.
Grade 3: Fair to Serviceable - Due to wear and laundering products may be thinner than when originally issued but are still in serviceable condition. Products may have small imperfections but all snags/tears/burns will be less than 1" in size.
